The Chevrolet Trailblazer is a compact SUV better suited for the streets of Saginaw, MI, than the trails near Bay City. And for the 2024 model year, this crossover will receive new equipment inside and out. Two different turbocharged three-cylinder engines power the new Trailblazer. The base powertrain is a 1.2-liter engine that outputs 137 horsepower and comes with front-wheel drive. While the other engine option is a 1.3-liter model that produces 155 horsepower and comes with all-wheel drive. And according to the EPA, front-wheel drive models get around 29/33 mpg, while its AWD models get an estimated 26/30 mpg.
Design
The Trailblazer's cabin is spacious, functional, and outfitted with plenty of convenience features, especially in higher trims. Higher trims have colored trim pieces and chrome embellishments, while other trims offer black plastic finishes.
Along with plenty of cabin space, the cargo room of the Trailblazer is also quite generous. The rear seats fold flat, allowing for extra-long items to be stored.
Technology/Safety
All Trailblazer models come standard with an 11.0-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, and Sirius XM satellite radio. Higher trims offer wireless phone charging and connection to a Wi-Fi hotspot.
As for its safety features, Chevrolet equips every Trailblazer with basic driver-assistance technology such as automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, and lane-keeping assist. Optional features include adaptive cruise control.
